John Dwight “Jack” Andrews, 75, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 5, 2021. Jack was born in Chicago, IL on June 2, 1946. His family moved to Indianapolis where he graduated from North Central High School and attended Indiana University. Jack served as a Supply Sergeant in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a member of the Antelope Club and Knights of Columbus. Jack was a salesman, and then found a rewarding career at Jug’s Catering for more than three decades.
He enjoyed spending time with his family & friends, vacationing in Florida, and watching sports, particularly car racing and football.
He is survived by his sister Judith (James C.) Matlock, his nephews Brian, Aaron, Adam, & Geoffrey Matlock, his wife Helen M. (White) Andrews, her children Mary Lou (Mark) Rogian, Otto J. (Linda) Maier, and Miera M. (David) Buckner, and many grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Jack was preceded in death by his parents John D. and Miriam S. (Sheehy) Andrews, siblings Susan and William Andrews, and Helen’s Children John F. Maier and Terri L. Johnson.
Visitation will be from 11:30am to 12:30pm on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with a service to start at 12:30pm. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
