John Joseph Finney

John Joseph Finney, 65, of Alexandria passed away on March 16, 2022 with his wife of 47 years by his side. Born July 18, 1956 in Anderson, In, John, the son of Elmer and Evelyn Finney was the youngest of 6 children.
  John enjoyed the outdoors, and fishing in his younger years. He was an avid collector of Indian artifacts and enjoyed walking fields with friends and family to add to his collection. John also loved music and was a firm believer the louder it was the more therapeutic. He enjoyed reading Stephen King and western novels by Louis L’Amour. John spent his last working years trimming trees and took great pride in his work.
  John was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Evelyn Finney, sisters Bert Haney, WavaJean, and Norma Smith, brother Tom Finney. John is survived by his wife Rebecca Finney of Alexandria, special furry friend Maggie, Daughter Melissa Forrester (Gavin) of Yorktown, In., Son John Arthur Finney (Amy) of Gainesboro TN, Daughter Kimberly Buskirk (Eric) of Bean Station, TN.
Grandchildren Levi Forrester (Alexis), Anahleisa Forrester, Aubrey Mammoser (Ryan), Claire Thompson (Joseph). Great Grandchildren Lakelyn Forrester and Lyla Mammoser, Sister Lou Nutt and several nieces and nephews.
 The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Viaquest Hospice for their loving care and compassion during John’s final days.
As you would always say…. We love you bunches and bunches, gobbles and gobbles. You will be greatly missed by your family.
There will be no services for John at this time, the family will have a celebration of life in honor of John at a later date.
