John Lewis "Hoss" Singleton

John Lewis “Hoss” Singleton, 79, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on December 11, 2020.  John is survived by his brother-in-law Joseph (Olga) Compton, children, Angela (Mark) Alfonso, Kellie (Gordon) Adams, Shannon Blakely, Tony Weddle, and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.  John was preceded in death by his mother Elva Mae (Singleton) Bowman, his wife Mary Ellen (Compton) Singleton who passed away in 2016 and son John Earl Blakely who passed in 2019 and brothers-in-law Johnnie, Ronnie, and Larry Compton.  John Worked in construction for over 40 years as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of I.U.O.E. Local #103 in Indianapolis, Indiana.  John enjoyed football and old westerns and watching the news.  He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday January 9, 2021 at 11:30 am at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Indianapolis with visitation from 10:30 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Floral Park Cemetery located at 425 North Hold Road.
