John William Seybert, age 92, of Anderson, passed away at St. Vincent Anderson on November 19, 2021. He was born on November 6, 1929 to the late Hugh and Polly (Johnson) Seybert.

John was retired from General Motors after 30+ years. He was born and resided in Anderson for most of his life. John was a jokester and loved to make people laugh. He was his family’s big teddy bear. His favorite hobby in life was writing poetry, and he was extremely talented at it. He also enjoyed making bikes and riding them in parades, spending time in nature, and with his family. He was a simple man with a huge heart who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

John is survived by his two children Sherry Wells and Eric Seybert; granddaughter Lauren Veloso (Roberto); great-grandchildren Joanna Veloso, Shanna Hall, and Kloe Hall; brother Halford Seybert (Penny); and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above and two brothers James and Phillip Seybert.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday November 23, 2021 from 10-12pm with a funeral service beginning at 12pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
