Karl Dwight Lane

Karl Dwight Lane, age 66, of Anderson, passed away on January 11, 2021 at Community Hospital Anderson. He was born on August 29, 1954 to the late Freeman and Doris Lane.

Karl was as onery as the day is long and loved to tease people. He was always joking and cutting up, trying to enjoy every bit of fun this world had to offer. He was always happy and didn’t know a stranger. Even if he was mad, he still loved you. He was the kind of guy that would give you his last dollar if you needed it. He was a fighter and never backed down from anything.

He loved to spend his time landscaping, breading rottweilers, having parties and bonfires with his friends and family, and joking around. He was a wonderful dad, grandpa, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Karl is survived by his three daughters Crystal Lane (Chad Dickerson), Jessica Lane (Robert Barnhouse), and Heather Lane; grandchildren Johnathan Coffman, Madison Dickerson, Jessalynn Watson, Diamond Watson, Preston Lane, Courtney McIntyre, Joshua McIntyre II, Chloe McIntyre, and Chance Lane; brother Mike Lane (Reta Grose); sister-in-law Rita Lane; special friend Lisa Lane; nieces and nephews Ceresa Key (Joey), Amanda Lynn (Jimmy), Brandy Kerr (Zach), Jesse Ledbetter (Krista), David Lane, and Serena Lane; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-nephew.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above; and brother David Lane.

A visitation will be held on January 19, 2021 from 2-4pm with a funeral service beginning at 4pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson. Pastor Gary Marcum will be officiating.
