Karla Daniela Vasquez

Karla Daniela Vasquez, age 16, was taken from her family suddenly on Saturday, November 21, 2020 while enjoying an evening with close friends.  She was born on July 27, 2004 to Yessis O. Maldonando and Carlos A. Vasquez.

She was a Junior at Ben Davis High School and a member of the Class of 2022.  Her dream was to enter the beauty industry along with her sisters, following in her brother’s footsteps who is a professional barber, and concentrate on nail art. She became a car enthusiast following in the steps of another older brother who works in that industry.  She will be remembered for her kindness and energy that filled the room when she entered it.

She is survived by her mother, Yessis O. Maldonando; brothers, Nestor (Jayla) Flores and Cristian Chinchilla; sisters Katherine Maldonado and her twin sister, Gloria Vasquez; maternal grandparents, Santos and Elsa Lara Maldonado; nephews, Jaiden Bell, Leonel Flores and Kareem Josiah “KJ” Barbosa.  She also leaves behind her maternal aunts, Claudia Maldonado, Carolina Maldonado and Patricia Lara; uncles, Wilmer Maldonado and Julio Lara. Paternal grandparents Gloria and Ceaser Vasquez and uncles, Armando and Victor Vasquez.  She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Agripna Reyes, Petrona Lara and Basilio Maldonado; aunt, Judith Fiallos; and cousins, Marlon Maldonado and Dennis Hernandez.

At the request of the family visitation and services will be private.  Donations in Karla’s memory can be made directly to the family to assist with final expenses.
