Kassie Nicole Owen

Kassie Nicole Owen, age 42, of Muncie, passed away after a hard battle with COVID-19 on October 26, 2021 at IU Health Methodist Hospital. She was born on July 16, 1979 in Matoon, IL. She grew up in Pendleton, IN and currently resided in Muncie.

Kassie was truly a wonderful mother. Her children and grandson were the center of her universe. She was always spending time with her friends and family as much as she could. She was someone that would speak her mind but had the biggest heart. She was a dedicated single mom who made sure that her children never went without. She loved to have fun, go to the casino, garden, color, and just be silly with her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandma, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Kassie is survived by her children Erika Painter, Skyler Dalton and Ivy Dalton; grandson Daxton Jarrett; sister Kim McDonald (Brian); nieces and nephews Michael, Vanessa, Matthew, and Thomas McDonald; best friend Teresa Reed; special family members and friends, JR Redding, Roxanne Painter, Brian Painter, Uncle Tony and Aunt Sue; and several cousins.

She is preceded in death by her mother Geneva Reece and grandparents Bethel and  Madeline Higgs.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday November 2, 2021 from 3-4pm with a funeral service beginning at 4pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
