Kathleen Rose Luther
November 12, 1958 – September 9th, 2017
Kathy Luther was accepted into the arms of Papa(God) this past weekend. She joined her Mom, and Father and extended family in heaven for a much-anticipated cup of coffee and so many hugs.
She left behind a beautiful family, who will miss her terribly. She is carried on by her noble First Son Adam, and his three beautiful children Annabelle, Emma, and Sophia. She is carried on by her loving Second Son Gary, and his vibrant and caring sister Holly. She also had two pug children, Frosty and Finley, and her cats Aslan, Winnie, Tad Cooper, Foggy Nelson, Winker, and Spock.
She was an amazing lady who believed so much in Papa, and Jesus. Her faith was this radiant aura around her that blinded you when you talked to her, and gave comfort to you when you needed it most. The fact that she was sick did not diminish this light it only made it shine brighter because she knew that it was her legacy. The light she left behind in the hearts of the people she loved, and in her children.
She loved the people in her life so much. The people at her job who helped give her remarkable career meaning, the people in her crafting community who gave her such joy and her friends who comforted her and gave her guidance and a shingle in the storm.
She was survivor of many things, and she was fighter who always took on each day with the intention of doing the lords work and spreading love wherever she could. She never wanted to go a day without letting someone know they were loved. She was a beautiful soul, who will truly be missed.
People have asked how they can help, or memorialize her. If you can take some of her love and do something good for someone who needs it. Give comfort to the sick, shelter to an animal, food to the hungry, or a hug and a call to the lonely. She’ll know, and she’ll say “Papa, that was my purpose”.
We will be celebrating her life at Books & Brews, 9402 Uptown Drive, Ste 1400, Indianapolis, IN 46256 on Saturday, the 23rd of September, from 2pm-4pm. Wear bright colors, because we are going to be telling stories, having a drink, listening to some live music, sharing some crafts, and celebrating the life of my remarkable mom. Please come and be part of that celebration. All are welcome, whether you knew her, her friends or her family, it’s all the same love and she was the source.
