Katy Lee Scott

Katy Lee Scott, age 30, of Anderson, IN, went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2019. She was born on October 7, 1988 in Broken Arrow, OK to Billy Ray and Verna Bowling.

Katy lit up the room with her presence. She was always caring and compassionate but wasn’t afraid to let you know how she felt. Katy was an extremely intelligent young lady. She graduated from the Indiana Academy in 2006, which was a school for the gifted. She had a deep appreciation for the Arts. She was an avid reader and loved Gen Con. She loved to donate and volunteer at the Christian Center when she could. On top of everything else in her life, her daughter Everleigh was the light of her life. She loved to spend time with her and there was nothing else she would rather do than be with her. Katy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Katy is survived by her daughter, 3 ½ year old Everleigh Rae Kornman; mother Verna Bowling; Siblings Robin Martin (Shawn), Juri Baker (Tracy), and Damian Bair. Aunts and Uncles Bill and Marney Bair, John and Debra Bair, David and Debbie Bair, Melinda Bair, Brenda and Kent Crisp, Earl Bowling, and Johnny K. Bowling; Great aunt and Uncle Fred and Carol Bair; nieces and nephews Shelby, Bryson, Declan, Jesse, Shiloh, Madelynn, Sawyer, and Katherine; and many cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father Billy Ray Bowling; grandparents Viola and Shirley Bowling and William and Katherine Bair; and baby brother Billy Ray Bowling, Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 18, 2019 from 5-7pm at North Anderson Wesleyan Church, 1947 E 240 N, Anderson, IN, 46012. Services were handled by Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
