Kay Jeannine Aichele

Kay Jeannine Aichele (Norzinskay), 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 9, 2020. She was born in Logansport, Indiana to Donald and Marjorie Norzinskay. She attended Logansport High School and majored in French at Indiana University where she was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority. She joined TWA as a stewardess and spent much of that time traveling to Paris and internationally, enjoying many beautiful places along the way.
Jeannine met her husband, Richard, while living in New York City. They resided in several places on the east coast before settling in Carmel, Indiana where they raised three children. Jeannine cherished music and was an exceptional piano player. She was a volunteer at Indiana University Hospital and prided herself on being a stay-at-home mom. She was a dedicated mother who loved her children dearly. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Churches.
She is survived by her children, Rick Aichele, Kristen Elson (Ricky), and Lauren Aichele; her sister, Carole Penland (George); niece, Stacie Penland and nephew, Brent Penland.
Her husband of 57 years, Richard, preceded her in death, as did her parents, Donald and Marjorie Norzinskay; brother, Doug Norzinskay; nephew, Dan Norzinskay and niece, Mary Lou Norzinskay.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, services will be private and burial will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN. Arrangements provided by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
