Kenneth "Kenny" Woods

Kenny Woods, 77 of Anderson passed away unexpectedly at home April 19, 2023.

Kenny was born February 6, 1946, in Strickleyville VA, where he lived till the age of 20, Kenney relocated to Anderson to be with family. He worked at Brookside Corp. for 22 years and then IPT for 10 years where he retired from. His love and passion consisted of his family and the great outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed spending time at their cabin. You could often find Kenny sitting at Shadyside Lake looking for eagles and enjoying the scenery. Kenny would often pass his time by sitting on the front porch greeting everyone that passed by.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife Frances Woods of 45 years. His 4 children: Tammy King (Bart), Michael Woods (Sonja), Donnie McMahan (April), Misty Woods (Dave). His 10 grandchildren, Jaimi Bales, Jaymond Hemminger, Juston Caudill, Dakota Montano, Pheonix Barrientes, Raya-Sunshine Hibbard, Ashley Patterson, Amanda King, Angel King, Kyle Knutson and Scotty King, and 12 great grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews, and siblings Bobby Woods (Gerri) and Patsy Hobbs.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Silas Woods and Blanche Woods. His brother Leonard Woods and his granddaughter Jessi Knutson.

A visitation will be held on Friday April 28, 2023, from 1-3pm with a funeral service beginning at 3pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
