Kenneth Zumdome

Ken Zumdome passed away on April 2, 2025, with his wife Carol by his side after a long illness. He was 81.

Ken was born April 1, 1944, in Ft. Madison, Iowa to Parents Joe and Eulalia Zumdome. He attended Aquinas High School and graduated with a major in English at St. Ambrose College in Davenport. He was married on February 26, 1966, to his high school sweetheart, Carol. Ken retired from Shell Oil Co. in 2003 after 36 years of service.

In his younger years, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Ken was member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and was a long-time member of Indian Lake Country Club where he fell in love with golf and was proud to have made 3 holes-in-one on the course.

Ken is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carol Zumdome; children, Doug (Trina) Zumdome and Denise (Andy) Dastur; granddaughter, Kate (Alan) Ritchie; brother, Dan Zumdome; sister, Charlene Head; grandsons, Kyle and DJ Zumdome, Brandon and Jack Dastur; 2 step-grandsons, Austin and Andrew Ehrgott, and one step-great-grandson, Rowen.

Mass will be held for Kenneth on Tuesday, April 29 at 1 PM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. A visitation period will be held prior, beginning at 11AM.
