Korey Fowler

Korey Fowler, age 35, of Anderson, passed away at his home on June 10, 2021 after a long battle with Type 1 Diabetes. He was born on October 22, 1985 to Terry Fowler and Vicki Ashby.

Korey was a graduate of Hamilton Heights High School, Class of 2004. Growing up, Korey was extremely talented at coloring and drawing. He and his father would sit and draw together for hours. This talent led Korey to be a skilled tattoo artist, working at several different parlors throughout his life. Korey was an animal lover to his core, and animals loved him right back. Korey loved to spend time with his friends whenever he had the chance. He was a gentle soul, compassionate, but a little bit meticulous with his things in his day to day life. Family and friends described him as the type of man that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was an up-right guy, but stubborn, always doing things his own way. Korey had a dry sense of humor, but you had to love him anyways. He was a wonderful son, nephew, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Korey is survived by his mother Vicki Ashby (Pam) and father Terry Fowler (Rhonda); brother Kyle Fowler; Aunts Lisa Fortune, Teresa Poteet (Mike), Debbie Davis, and Patricia Odell; Uncles Rick Hisle (Terri), and David Fowler (Kay); grandparents Dixie Davis, David “Pat” Hisle, and Jerry Fowler; best friends Freddie Wainscott and Jordan Woodruff; loving dogs Kamilla and Princess; and several cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Gwenneth Hisle, Gloria Wilson, and Ronald Davis, Uncle Alex Fortune and Uncle Jeff Davis.

A visitation will be held on Thursday June 17, 2021 from 12-4pm with a funeral service immediately follow at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson, 504 W. 9^th St. Anderson, IN 46016. There will be a dinner after the funeral at the Anderson Eagles at 1315 Meridian Street.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Madison County Humane Society in memory of Korey.
