Larry Marcus Ashba, 69, passed away at St. Vincent’s December17, 2016. He was born in Anderson toCharles Marcus and Mary Louise (Prout) Ashba June 24, 1947.
Larry attended Pendleton schools and was one of thefirst Pendletones. He worked at DelcoRemy, retiring in 1998 after 33 years of service as a fork lift driver.
Larry enjoyed bowling, fishing, computer video games,singing, hanging out on the beach, cruises, and watching Colts football withhis wife. He was a 32ndDegree Mason, Lodge #681. He was a kind,generous, charming, funny man that never knew a stranger.
Left to cherish Larry’s memory is the love of his lifeand his wife of 41 years, Wanda; daughter, Monica (Mike) Meadows; stepson, MarkReeves; grandson, Nathan Meadows; in-laws (or outlaws as Larry called them),Carol (Ginger) Moore, Betty Addington, Sue (J.T.) Winfrey, Brenda (Howard) Sutton,David (Barb) Moore, Mona (Jack) Brown; Darlene Walker; special niece, Michelle“Missy” Drake; nephew, Mark Ritenour; nieces, nephews, cousins; and manyspecial friends.
Preceding Larry in death are his parents; sister, JudyAshba Drake Ritenour Owens; special cousin, Mike Walker; and puppy, Fred.
A special thanks to St. Vincent’s 5th FloorSouth and ICU nurses and respiratory therapists for their care of Larry.
Visitation is Thursday, December 22 from 5:00-8:00 atLegacy Cremation & Funeral Services. Service is Friday at noon at the funeral home with burial to immediatelyfollow at Anderson Memorial Park, Pastor Allen Rawlings presiding.
