Lema Juanita (Poore) Mccann-Collins

Lema Juanita (Poore) McCann-Collins was born on April28, 1940 in Jamestown, Tennessee to Millard A. and Nora E (West) Poore. She left this world on October 16, 2016. To those that knew her, Lema was calledJuanita.

Juanita is survived by her son, Mark (Sandra) McCann;granddaughter, Destiny (Zorman) and her husband Nick Smith of Ft. Myers,Florida; granddaughter, Mya McCann of Alexandria, Indiana; granddaughter,Aubrey McCann of Alexandria, Indiana; brother, Ridley Poore; sister, Peggy(Poore) Staton; sister, Carolyn (Poore) Harney and her husband, Gerald Harney;many nieces and nephews; and many friends and acquaintances.

Preceding Juanita in death are her parents; brother,Leonard Poore and his wife Lily Poore; sister, Reva Christine (Poore) Sloan andher husband, Arnold Sloan; sister-in-law, Virgie Poore; and brother-in-law,Dale Staton.

Juanita worked as a homemaker, at the Best Lockfactory, and as a home health aide caring for others. She enjoyed going rummaging to find abargain.

Juanita loved her family and was very proud of hergrandkids.

Her son, Mark, shares these thoughts: “I was blessed to have had you for 47years. I am so thankful for you and themany things you did for me. I am sorryto lose you, but your passing was peaceful and I know you are with God. I will always love and miss you. Love, Mark”

From granddaughter, Mya: “Grandma, you have no idea the impact youmade on my life. Nothing will ever beable to fill this void I have for you in my heart. No matter what I say it won’t even be capableof covering who you were or the love I had for you. I’ll deeply miss our shopping trips andafternoons spent watching Judge Judy. You were one of a kind. I’ll missyou forever. P.S. Maybe one day we will get to make thosebrownies. I love you,”

The family would like to say thanks to all forthoughts and prayers and kind words during this time.

Honoring her wishes, Juanita had private familyservices with cremation following. Acelebration of life gathering will be announced at a later date.
