Leotta “Maye” Green, 92, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2018. She was born on July 3, 1926 to the late William R. and Iona “Fern” (Castor) Hubbard.
Maye was a wonderful mother and friend. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1945. She spent most of her free time crafting and playing golf. She had a talent for crocheting, sewing, and quilting and loved to travel to craft shows around the state. She was a member of the Red Bud Quilt Club for many years. She was a hairdresser for most of her life, having retired at age 65. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Maye is survived by her children Claudia Kelly and Chet Green (Martha); grandchildren Dawn Kwiatkowski (Brian), Christopher Romano, and Shelby Romano; great-grandchildren Michael Kwiatkowski, Grace Kwiatkowski, Ashley Romano- Virden (Tyeler), Nicholas Romano, Kaitlyn Romano, Daniel Holt, and Josie Holt; great-great-grandchildren Leilah Maye Virden and Jaxton Virden.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Green, parents, daughter Cynthia Romanno, siblings Helen Sims, George Martin, Richard Hubbard, Wilma James, and Dottie Meyers.
A visitation will be held on Thursday December 20, 2018 from 11AM to 1PM with a funeral service to follow at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson. Rev. Ed Purciful will be officiating. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
