Linda Diane Mabry

Linda Diane Mabry, age 75, originally from Urbana OH, currently residing in Anderson, passed away peacefully into the hands of God on March 21, 2022. She was born on October 29, 1946, to the late Donald R. Shafer and L. Jean Shafer.

There are few people that make a mark on your life and change you for the better. They make all who meet them feel like they are the most important person in the world. They love unconditionally and give unselfishly. Linda Mabry, our mother, was the epitome of this.

Just last week, Linda had a dream of going to Heaven and she had just one question for Jesus. She wanted him to teach her how to swim. She never learned to swim and was terrified of water. What an example of trust and a testament of faith. She has been a true joy to everyone she has met. She had a heart of gold, never complained, and shared Jesus in her actions.

Heaven is a better place now that Linda Mabry has arrived. Though we will miss her dearly, we know she is whole again, no longer trapped in a body that was so worn and tired.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Mabry; daughters Jen Howie (Jeff) and Sarah Garcia (Daniel); grandchildren Emma, Aliza, Lula, Florence, and Samuel; and siblings Karen George, Shannon Wemigwase, and Kenneth Shafer.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 25, 2022, from 1-3pm at Madison Park Church of God in Anderson. Cremation was handled through Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
