Linda Jo Davis

Linda Jo Davis, age 66, of Anderson, passed away on February 3, 2022, after an extended battle with cancer. She was born on May 4, 1955, to the late John and Ann Etchison.

Linda was a graduate of Highland High School, Class of 1973. She was a proud member of the Class Reunion Committee and everyone there was extremely important to her. She tried to stay in touch with everyone. Linda dedicated her life to helping people. She worked in Social Services for many years, volunteered at the Red Cross, Contact Help, Monticello House, and many more. She participated in several walks for a cause throughout her life, including cancer, Alzheimer’s, and MS. She worked in extended care for many years. She would do anything for anyone and didn’t know a stranger. She was a wonderful wife, mother, aunt, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda is survived by her husband of 21 years Charles “Chuck” Davis; son Clayton Newton; brother Don Etchison (Marianne); niece Amanda Griffith (Rocky); nephews Damian Etchison (Emily), and Devin Etchison; several great nieces and nephews; several special friends; brother-in-law Jonathan Davis (Missy) and sister-in-law Cindy Frye (Rick); and 7 nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents listed above and both maternal/paternal grandparents.

No services planned at this time. A Celebration of Life will be planned for summer 2022. Cremation was chosen and handled by Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
