Lisa Ann Leisure, 56, passed away at AMG SpecialtyHospital in Greenfield on January 15, 2017. She was born to Chester M. and Lucy Marion Horton on January 16, 1960 inAnderson at St. John’s Hospital.
Lisa attended Highland High School, graduating in 1978. She played trombone and was a proud MarchingHighlander. She met the love of her lifein high school, William “Bill” Leisure. They were married December 22, 1979 and remained married until Bill’spassing last year on April 25, 2016.
Lisa was a loving, hard-working mother, sometimesholding down three jobs. She worked inseveral local nursing homes, Jimmie’s Dairy Bar in Pendleton, and Taco Bell onBroadway.
Lisa was a race car driver’s wife and was at AndersonSpeedway every Saturday night for several years. She was an avid NASCAR fan and loved to ridemotorcycles. She was also a lover ofanimals and had several pets throughout her life. But most of all, Lisa loved her husband,daughter, and all of her family because that is what matters the most in life.
Left to cherish Lisa’s memory is her daughter, Jessica(husband, Jerry Gasparet) Leisure; grandchildren, Lillian Dale, Reese Leisure,and Jazzman Leisure; sister-in-law, Cathy (Jeff) Conley; brothers-in-law, Danny(wife Crystal Swallows) Leisure, Jack (Sue) Leisure, and Sammy (April) Leisure;several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family; and friends, TammyArline, Dana Phillips, and Tina Warfel-Couch.
Welcoming Lisa in heaven is her husband, Bill Leisure;mother, Lucy Marion Horton; father, Chester M. Horton; grandparents; mother-in-lawand father-in-law, Dorothy and Sam Leisure; and many aunts and uncles.
The family would like to thank Countryside Manor andEdgewater Woods for their care of Lisa.
