Lorena Sue Stephens

Lorena Sue Stephens, 54, lifelong resident of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully February 16, 2025. She was born November 16, 1970, in Indianapolis and was the beloved daughter of Robert and Lorena Stephens.

Lorena loved to spend time with her family and friends, and one of the greatest joys of her life was being a mother and a homemaker. Lorena was a fighter and a particularly competitive card player. She loved playing cards! She also loved going shopping and finding a good bargain. Lorena loved butterflies and watching them flit and flutter among the flowers, especially when they would land on a purple blossom which was also, her favorite color. 

Lorena was preceded in death by her mother, Lorena (Stephens) Booker: her father, Robert Stephens; her stepfather, Arley Booker; her brother, Mitchell Stephens; her daughter, Katie Stephens; and Granny Mildred Hoagland.

Lorena is survived by her loving children: David Plumley, Reba Plumley, Holly Plumley, and Molly Plumley. Her siblings, Melinda Mobley and Robert Stephens, Jr., are also left to cherish Lorena's memory. She also leaves behind her brother-in-law, a sister-in-law, and her beloved granddaughter, Hazel. Lorena will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services - Indianapolis assisted the family with arrangements.
