Lorene J. Peterson, 8-18-64 to 6-18-21
It is with a heavy heart, our beloved sister, mother, daughter, aunt, and grammies, has passed onto the next chapter of her journey.
She will be remembered for her wit, charm, loving, fun, and crazy cat lady personality. Lori was the most independent, self-sufficient person. She worked on her own cars and would attempt anything herself. She always paid, and didn’t need a man, she could do it herself. Being able to do it herself was her life motto.
She loved her grandchildren deeply. She enjoyed the holidays, especially Halloween, always making the best, most creative costumes. She was an avid animal lover and loved her fur babies, especially Scooby, Marley, and Bluick.
Lori is survived by her daughter Kayelei Redding (Dustin), sister Teresa Land (Brent), brothers Ryan Peterson, Jeff Peterson (Juanita), Jim Peterson (Amy), Joel Redding, Hailey Minkner, Jaivin Redding, bonus grandson Benjamin Morrison, and Jakobi Redding-Morrison, and great granddaughter Zaia Mae.
She is preceded in death by her mother Virginia Lee Peterson (Manley) and Father Roy Allen Peterson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson on Thursday July 1, 2021 from 1-3pm with a procession following to Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Madison County Humane Society in memory of Lorene.
