Loretta May (Rousey) Hajny, 80, passed away in Indianapolis on January 5, 2018. She was born on December 10, 1937 to Frank and Edith Rousey in Vernon, Indiana.
Loretta lived in Anderson all of her life. She was a homemaker and a caregiver to her grandchildren. Her joy was in cooking and taking care of her family. She was a faithful member of Cross Roads United Methodist Church.
Left to treasure Loretta’s memory is her husband of 61 years, Frank Hajny; children, Kevin (Millie) Hajny, Karen Hajny, and Mary (Greg) Cox; grandchildren, Tony Sunderhaus, Jessica Hajny, Meghan (Jacob) Grabowski and Andy Cox; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Bergan and Kyrie Bergan; siblings, Mary (Buddy) Demaree, Rosie Croddy, Carolyn Walke, and Frank Rousey; and her loving church family.
Loretta was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Dean; father, Franklin Rousey; sister, Etta May, Rousey; and brother, Albert Rousey.
Visitation will be at Cross Roads United Methodist Church, 2000 North Scatterfield Road, on Thursday, January 11, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Services will be Friday, January 12 at the church at 11:00 AM with visitation one our prior to the service. Pastor John Hackney will preside. Burial will immediately follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
