Lyla Anrita Aynes

Lyla Anrita Aynes, age 74, of Anderson, passed away at her home on Sunday, November 22, 2020. She was born on April 24, 1947 to the late Robert and Frances (Spear) Stafford.

Throughout life, Lyla wore many hats. She worked as a bartender for many years, at places in Anderson such as The Shamrock, and The Knights of Columbus. She worked as an EMT for a few years, but her favorite job was being a homemaker to her family. She always welcomed anyone and everyone into her home with open arms. Lyla didn’t know a stranger. She loved animals dearly, music, quilting, and dancing. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lyla is survived by her children Richard Arnold (Angela), Casie Thompson (Dale), Jim Aynes (Chasity), Paula Boze (Tony), Brandon Aynes (Pam), and Nan Aynes; grandchildren Holly Arterburn (Casey), Richard Arnold, Jeffrey Arnold, Ryan Childers, Amber Charron-Durr (Tommy); several step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren Devin, Elijah, and Savannah; sibling Robert Stafford (Rita); several nieces and nephews; and special friends Edna Webb and Gene and Judy Helm.

She is preceded in death by her parents listed above, sister Norene Foster, and husband Paul L. Aynes.

Cremation was chosen through Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
