Marie Antoinette Heyward

Marie Antoinette Heyward was born on Monday, February 05, 1962 to Ms. Eleanor (Moore) Heyward and the late Robert “Earl” Rhodes in Indianapolis, IN.

Toni, as her close family and friends would call her, resided in Indianapolis the entire duration of her life and was a graduate in the 1980 class of Arsenal Technical High School. In 1982, Toni gave birth to her first and only child Mr. Jerry “Jay” Musgrove Jr..

Throughout her adult life, she pursued several different jobs outside her home in order to provide for her family with her final job being the administrator at Lockefield Village, a healthcare facility. After suffering from a brain aneurysm in 2001, Toni faced many health problems in which she always faced and fought to overcome for nearly 17 years.

On Tuesday, July 03, 2018, Toni’s battle came to an end at the young age of 56. She blessed her family and friends with many years of love and laughter and will truly be missed.

She is survived by her mother Ms. Eleanor Heyward, son Mr. Jerry “Jay” Musgrove,
brother Mr. Ronald (Shanika) Heyward, and four grandchildren: Jayjuan, Laniya, Jayonna,
Leiloni Musgrove with a 5th granddaughter expected in Nov. 2018. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 2pm to 3pm on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with a sermon by Rev. Ronald Heyward starting at 3pm.
