Anderson- Marilyn Ann (Gimple) Ray, 74, passed away on March 11, 2022, at her home after an extended battle with cancer.

Marilyn was born on March 29, 1947, in Anderson, Indiana to Claude and Ann (Davis) Gimple. Marilyn attended Pendleton High School and worked 18 years at Jimmy’s Diary Bar in Pendleton.

Marilyn enjoyed doing arts and crafts, traveling, going to flea markets, and staying in Florida during the winter.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 42 years, Kenneth Ray; children Lora McNeal (David), Brenda Day (Eric Hinson), Jeff Johnson, and Duston Ray (Nina); sister Linda Paulson; half-brother Jerry Gimple (Carol); step-brothers Calvin Einhaus (Debbie) and Trevor Einhaus; sister-in-law Carla Gimple; brothers-in-law Steve Ray (Jan) and Paul Ray (Judi); grandchildren Ashley Roberts (Jared), Britney Couture (Michael), Jennifer Robinson (Cody), Cierra Johnson, Shyenne Johnson (John Eldridge II), and Averie Ray; great-grandchildren Noah Roberts, Eli and Addie Robinson, Braxton Johnson, Braxton and Blakely Couture, John Eldridge III; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents listed above, stepfather Elvin Einhaus, brother Leslie Dean Gimple, nephew Michael Gimple, father, and mother-in-law Charles and Lelila Ray and brother and sister-in-law Doug and Barbara Ray.

There will be no services or visitation at this time. Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson are handling arrangements.
