Mark Parrish (66) of Indianapolis, IN died January 7th, 2022 surrounded by family after a courageous and unexpected battle with cancer. Mark was born August 16, 1955 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Ora and Frances Parrish. He was a graduate of Ben Davis High School. He retired from Eskenazi Health after dedicating his life to the Virginia House as a residential caregiver, life coach and friend to both clients and coworkers. He was a caregiver in his profession and throughout his life.
Mark was proceeded in death by his parents, Ora and Frances Parrish; brother, Allen Parrish and sister, Lisa Dumas. Left to honor his memory are his beloved wife of 44 years, June Parrish; children Caleb, Malia, Kyle and Mark Parrish, Jr. He is also survived by brothers Jim, Randy, Kelly and Doc Parrish and sisters Nancy Parrish and Mary Smith. He leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members that he loved dearly.
Marks greatest joy was found in his grand-children Caleb Lee, Lilly, Max and Lucas Parrish. Mark was kind, generous, humble and a friend to all. His interests included basketball & bowling with his lifelong friend and cousin Jimbo Parrish, fishing, hunting with his brothers, playing cards and grilling out for friends and family. He will always be remembered as someone who would go out of his way to help others. He will be deeply missed.
We invite friends and family to celebrate his life with us on Jan.17th from 11:00 am to 1:00 PM at Legacy Funeral Home in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dinner will follow at Bread of Life Church located at 641 Fleming Street, Indianapolis IN 46241.
