Mark Joseph Reynolds, 66 of Indianapolis, IN died peacefully on June 14, 2017. Mark was born September 30, 1950 in Indianapolis to Cleon and Helen Reynolds. Mark attended St. Michael the Archangel grade school and Cathedral High School. After graduation, Mark served in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam and was a double, purple-heart medal recipient. Upon returning from the service, Mark married Debra (Debbie) Alexander of Brownsburg. Mark and Debbie welcomed their son Wes, on a June Father’s Day in 1977. Mark’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to opportunities in sales for Hawaiian Tropic Sun Oils, as the owner of the popular Broad Ripple establishment, The Garage, and as partner in several hospitality industry venues. In 1990 Mark was diagnosed with liver failure and was the first liver transplant at the VA Medical Center. Mark’s family would like to acknowledge the Roudebush VA Medical Center/IU Health for the wonderful care and dignity given to Mark from that transplant through his eventual diagnosis of lung cancer two years ago. Mark was preceded in death by his wife Debbie, his parents and oldest sister, Nancy Eichholtz. Survivors include, Son, Wes Reynolds; Sisters, Suellen Carey and Cleanne (Rich) Sampson and many caring nephews and nieces. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 22nd at SS. Peter and Paul Cathedral’s, Blessed Sacrament Chapel, 1347 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis at 1:00pm followed immediately by a Celebration of Mark’s life at Ike and Jonesy’s downtown.
