Obituary for Mary Bare Davis:

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went to heaven early Thursday, November 4, 2021.  Mary Bare Davis was born on April 11, 1934 in North Carolina and she passed away in her Indiana home surrounded by her loving family.

Her constant companion throughout her long life was her beloved husband William (Bill) Davis.  They met while Bill was repairing a crashed plane near the diner where she worked in North Carolina.  Love at first sight, they married on October 6^th, 1951 and recently celebrated their 70^th wedding anniversary. He has always made it known he knew she was his soulmate from the first time he laid eyes on her.

Mary led a life full of love, adventure, and charity to others. The revered matriarch of the Davis family, Mary was adored by everyone who ever met her. You would always be greeted with a “Hello, sweetheart” and a hug that you felt all the way down in your soul. Mary and William traveled the world together and dedicated her time to being involved in her church and many other organizations that were near and dear to her heart.

She is survived by her husband Bill, children, Bill and Brent (Shonnie), her grandchildren Aaron (Chelsea), Tori (Max), Robert, Sean (Jennifer), great grandchildren, Tyler, Savannah, Sophia and another great grandchild due in December.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ada and Mel Donaldson, her father William Bare, her sister Virginia, and brothers Robert, Hardy, Parker and Ted.
