Mary F. Cummins

Mary F. Cummins, age 88, died on Sunday, October 13, 2019 in the care of Golden Living Center. Mary was born on June 12, 1931 in Zionsville in the family’s farm house. Her parents, William McKinley and Dorothy Adelia Smith and three siblings, Helen, Evelyn, and Sylvia Sue, all of whom predeceased Mary.

Mary worked the family farm until she married Charles Cummins (deceased) on April 13, 1951. She raised four children: Sally Morgan, Charles “Bud” Cummins (Sandie), Stephen Cummins (Janet), and Kimberly Moore (Gary).

With her love of God, she took to working outside the home in different retail jobs and the smile she wore on her face would prove to help her in making friends wherever she went. Mary had an eye for art and drawing and was good at sleight of hand and playing cards.

She is survived by her four children, eight grandchildren: Katrina Smith (Dale), Kris Chesney, Joshua Cummins (Laura), James Moore (Amber), Anthony Huskins, Jonathan Rottler, Nicholas Cummins, and Christian Cummins, and six great grandchildren: Alex Smith, Carissa Smith, Jazmin Chesney, Alyssa Chesney, Dominic Chesney and Peyton Moore.

Mary’s funeral will be held at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services, October 19, 2019, with calling between 10-12 with funeral service at 1pm. She will then be taken to her final resting place at Memorial Park Cemetery on the eastside of Indianapolis.
