Mary Frances (Cox) Kester

Mary Frances Kester, 71, passed away Tuesday, April 6 2021, at her residence after battling cancer. She was born March 27, 1950 to Emmett and Naomi Cox. She was a 1968 graduate of Alexandria High School, and attended college at Ball State. Frances enjoyed spending time in her garden, attending to her chickens and bees, working on various DIY projects, singing in her church’s praise team, babysitting her young relatives, traveling, and reminiscing with her classmates. She retired from the GM assembly line in 2006 after working 35 years to stay at home with her two children.

She is survived by her husband, Larry of 33 years; children, Andrea (James) Beckham, Aaron (Amanda) Kester, Carly (Jim) Wisner, and Jordan (Katie) Kester and their families; her mother, Naomi Cox; her siblings: Marilyn (Stephen) Miller, Katie (Bruce) Bowman, Marsha (Roger) Tomlinson, Sandy (Rich) Panza, Dennis (Laurie) Cox, Brian Cox; her grandchildren: Chance (Jerra) Uhl, Cassidy Uhl, Ashton Kester, Aidan Kester; her great grandchild: Grayson Uhl. She was preceded in death by her father, Emmett Cox, her brother, Doug Cox, and sisters-in-law Laura Cox and Judy Cox.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, from 1 to 4pm with a funeral service for family to follow at 4pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service-Anderson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to World Vision Uganda or Journey Church of Christ.
