Mary Jane Gernand

Mary Jane Gernand, age 91, of Anderson, passed away at her home on May 16, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born on October 6, 1928 to the late Oscar and Dovie Heath.

Mary was a wonderful, caring, woman who loved her family dearly. She loved to read her bible and was deep in her faith. She spent her free time sitting on her porch watching birds and all the flowers. She was always talking and was full of energy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary is survived by her loving children Jeffrey Gernand (Linda), Thomas Gernand (Karen), and Cora Lee Pryor; grandchildren Andy Gernand (Gigi), Kathleen Gernand Delph (Mark), John Gernand (Jennifer), and Matthew Gernand (Loan); great-grandchildren Toby Gernand, Jason Gernand, Aubrey Gernand, Maeleana Delph, Mazie Gernand, and Elizabeth Gernand; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents listed above.

A graveside service will take place on Wednesday May 20, 2020 at 11am at Mount Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
