Mary Kathleen Mclerran

Mary Kathleen McLerran, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 3, 2018.  She was born on August 4, 1952 in Thompkinsville, KY to the late Audie Cornwell and Lydia (Rich) Durham.  Mary later moved to Columbus, IN and then ended up in Indianapolis, IN.

Mary enjoyed family and friends, and always loved to have big dinners.  She was an excellent cook and always enjoyed baking.  Mary loved her roosters and decorating her home.  You could not pull her away from her TV whenever Criminal Minds or her soaps were on.   And then later her life, Mary’s enjoyment came from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Marcy K. Chapman (James Parker); grandchildren, Chelsea Cornwell (Justin McKenney), Emily Chapman, Catie Parker, and Hannah Parker; great-grandchildren, Leah Cornwell, Caydence McKenney, Sophia McKenney, Bre McKenney, and Dedrianna McKenney; sister, Patty Cornwell of Glaskgo, KY; and nephew, Dustin Durham (Jolisa Mitchell).

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, mentioned above; along with her 2 brothers, Glen Cornwell and Wendell Cornwell, sister, Debbie Durham; and daughter, Michelle Cornwell.

Services will be at 1pm on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with visitation starting at 12noon until the start of the service.  Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
