Mathew Brian Lahey

Mathew Lahey, 21, passed away on March 21, 2021.  Mathew graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in Fortville, Indiana in 2019 and was an employee at Daimler Parts Distribution Center in Whitestown, Indiana.  Mathew filled every room he walked into with laughter.  He was fiercely loyal to his family and friends, and was always there to lend a helping hand.

Mathew was preceded in death by his grandpa J.R. Lawrence, his aunt Debra Pierce, and his grandma Kassie George.  He is survived by his parents Robin & Ken Costner and Jeff & Michal Lahey, his sister Melissa Lahey, his brother Justin Lahey, his niece Aria Wesley, his grandparents Kay Lawrence, Mike & Pat Lahey, Jim & Janet George, and Joni Wamer, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and countless friends he considered family.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in Mathew’s name to Alpha Nerds Guild at https://www.alphanerdsguild.com/donate.  The mission of the Alpha Nerds Guild is to connect Veterans, Law Enforcement Officers, and First Responders with PTSD/TBI together to create a network of support.  100% of donations go to delivering gaming consoles to Veterans / Law Enforcement Officers / First Responders that have been diagnosed with a psychological disorder related to their sacrifice for the American Public.
