Melanie Jones

Melanie Fowler Jones, age 80, passed away at her home on February 24, 2022. She was born on October 15, 1941, to the late Thomas Richardson Sr. and Mary Maxine (Rector) Stelle.

Melanie was a loving homemaker for most of her life. She was a dedicated foster parent to many. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Melanie is survived by her children Paula Ball, Perry Hawkins, Julia Smith (Billy), Mason Jones, Alexander Jones, Katie Fowler, and Judy Johnson (Chris); 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; loving pets Ozzy and Daisy; special friend Vicki Riley; and sisters Nancy Rice (Rex) and Karen Richardson.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Fowler, daughter Penny Bagley, mother Mary Maxine Stelle, Father Thomas Richardson Sr., and brother Thomas Richardson Jr.

A visitation will be held on Thursday March 10, 2022, from 12-2pm with a funeral service beginning at 2pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson. Burial will immediately follow the service at Pleasant Walk Cemetery.
