Melvin Holland

Melvin Holland, age 83, of Anderson, passed away on October 26, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on December 26, 1937 to the late George and Audrey Holland.

Melvin worked as a truck driver for many years, as well as driving school buses for ACS and CATS. He was a wonderful storyteller, a good listener, and confidant. He had a wonderful heart and would do anything for anyone. He was a teaser and would joke with anyone. He loved spending time with his family but especially his little dog Harley. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, shooting guns, fishing, and traveling. He was a great husband, dad, grandpa, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Melvin is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lana Holland; children Tina Shambaugh (George), Steve Holland (Donna), Zonda Jarvis (Greg), and Jenee Wilber (Jerry); daughter-in-law Jane Holland; first wife Jackie Brown; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his sweet dog Harley.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above; sons Chuck Sparks and Chis Holland; and siblings Cecil Holland, Bus Holland, and Sarah Craig.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation was chosen through Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
