Michael Curtis Konkle

​Michael C. Konkle went home to be with Jesus on Friday September 4, 2020.  Mike was born to John and Nancy Konkle at Methodist Hospital Indianapolis Indiana on June 27, 1953.  Mike was a 1972 graduate of Frankton High School inFrankton, IN.  He worked for Emge packing plant for 11 years before completing a bachelor’s degree in the science of Ministerial Studies in 1988 from Marion College.  Mike enteredevangelism in 1990.  Mike spent his pastoral career going wherever God lead. He pastored his own churches, filled in when and wherever he was needed, and held revivals.  Mike was a very devout Christian who would openly tell you he loved all of us but would not come back for anything.  Aside from his duties through the church Mike had been a Chaplin for the Anderson Police Department.

​Mike was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather not only to his own children and grandchildren but also those who adopted him as such.  Mike loved to play golf, ride his motorcycle, and play with his grandchildren.  He loved the Chicago Bears and the Cincinnati Reds.  He enjoyed watching the races and was a long-time fan of Mark Martin “6”.  Mike loved to laugh and make others laugh and his number one goal in life was to lead as many people to Christ as he could in his time here.

​Surviving in addition to his wife, Mary (Jackson) Konkle, are his son, Mathew Konkle and his wife, Pamela, of Chesterfield; daughter Melissa Hamilton and her husband Derekof Chesterfield; 6 grandchildren, Jacob Konkle, Eric Konkle, Hailey Hamilton, Dayne Hamilton, Abigail Konkle, and Hannah Konkle; 3 great-grandchildren, Scarlet Konkle, Amelia Konkle, and Faith Allen; one sister Brenda Kistler of Anderson; one brother Mark Konkle of Anderson; many nieces and nephews; and many people who considered him a loving friend.

A Memorial service for Mike Konkle will be held at New Life Church of the Nazarene on Sunday 9/20/2020 at 3:00pm with calling at 2:00pm. Masks required.
