Michael Grigdesby

November 14, 1957 — August 31, 2024

Michael Lee Grigdesby, born November 14, 1957, in Indianapolis, IN, to the late Harold R. Grigdesby and Josephine L. (Green) Grigdesby, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024, after a courageous battle with liver cancer. Michael was a proud lifelong resident of Indiana and a devoted member of East 91st Street Christian Church, where he began attending at the age of 10.

Michael enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life, particularly playing around with his drums, electric guitar, and electronic keyboard. Though never part of a formal band, he found joy in music on his own terms. Outside of music, Michael enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, sailing, and being part of the local Corvette Club.

As a young man, Michael enlisted and served honorably in the U.S. Army field artillery. His professional career led him to Eby Brown and Company, where he worked as a warehouse manager until his well-earned retirement.

Michael was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Twila Grigdesby, who passed away in 2009. He is survived by his four children, Crystal Ann Amann, Nicole Kathleen Grigdesby, Michael Harley Grigdesby, and John Michael Wood; his fourteen grandchildren; and his one great-grandchild.
