Michael Lycan, age 47, of Anderson, has sadly passed away unexpectedly on May 22, 2024. He was born on October 25, 1976, in Anderson to Dale and Karen Lycan.

Michael was known for his diverse skills and abilities, earning him the reputation of being a true jack of all trades. He was a truck driver for over 18 years, along with several other jobs throughout his life. 

In addition to his professional life, Michael was a man of many facets. Described as private and simple, he had a knack for humor and was known to be ornery at times. Despite his occasional stubbornness, his loved ones remember him most for his loving and playful nature.

Outside of work, Michael found joy in various hobbies such as riding motorcycles, cooking up delicious meals, growing vegetables, deer hunting, and hunting for arrowheads. These interests highlighted his adventurous spirit and passion for exploration.

Michael is survived by his daughter Vanessa Lycan; parents Dale and Karen Lycan; brothers Shannon Lycan and Joe Browning (Becky); wife Stacey Lycan; nieces and nephew Daylon Lycan, Kaelie R. Lycan, Lacie Browning, and Kailey S. Browning; Uncle James Lycan (Liza), Aunt Kathy Toombs, Uncle Raymond Waymire Sr., Uncle Randy Waymire (Jeanie), Aunt Patricia Smith, Aunt Julie Waymire, and Aunt Loretta Waymire; several cousins; and best friends Craig and Brenda Vest and Charlie Parish. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends who survive him. 

He is preceded in death by his brother Charlie Lycan, Cousin Raymond Waymire Jr., Uncle David Waymire, Grandma Velma Lycan, grandparents Ralph and Estelle Waymire; and best friends Jeremy Stafford, Rebel Stafford, and JJ McGinnis. 

The upcoming Celebration of Life service in honor of Michael Lycan will take place on June 5, 2024, starting at 3:00 PM to 6 PM at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services - Anderson; 504 W 9th St, Anderson, IN. It will be a time to reflect on the laughter and warmth he brought into the lives of those around him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Legacy Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
