Michael Robert Koester

Michael Robert Koester, age 74, of Anderson, passed away at his home on November 22, 2021 with his wife by his side. He was born on July 28, 1947 to the late Leo and Irma Koester.

Michael was a very simple man who made no fuss about anything. He enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles, watching Nascar, and was an avid Chicago Bears and Colts fan. He worked as a plumber for over 35 years. He had a sense of humor you couldn’t ignore. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Michael is survived by his wife of over 40 years Theresa Koester; children Shelly Dodd (David) and Stephen Koester (Erin); grandchildren Jerron (Hope), Chase, Kylee, Samantha, Danielle, Aerabe, Stephen Jr., Ethan, Jayden, and Rylan; great-grandchildren Connor and Colton; several nieces and nephews; brother Max Koester (Janet); and sister-in-law Joyce Stoner.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above and sister Shirley Ferguson.

Cremation services were handled by Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
