Micki (Michelle)LeeAnn Johnson, 59 years young of Plainfield, IN, passed away Monday, February 17th, 2020 from the damaged caused by radiation treatments, after she successfully beat cancer in two locations.

Micki was born October 29th, 1960 in Indianapolis, IN to the late James Byron Johnson of Mooresville, IN and Jacqueline Ann (Lawson) Johnson of Avon, IN.  Micki was the ambassador and poster child for the United Fund of Indianapolis in the mid 1960’s, representing children with Cerebral Palsy as well as other handicap conditions.  Micki was a graduate of Tampa Bay Technical High School class of 1980.  Her careers included being a proofer for Bank One, a medical receptionist & answering service, to her most recent career which she loved “Aunt Micki’s Pet/House Sitting”.  Micki is survived by her partner of 13 years, Diane Wilson; her brother, Timothy (Rochella) Johnson; nieces and nephews, Stephanie (Kay) Graham, Timothy (Jamie) Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Rachel (Jeremy) Brown, Zechariah Love; 15 great nieces and nephews; 8 great-great nieces and nephews. Micki was preceded in death by her sister Debra (Johnson) Bryan.

The family plans to hold a celebration of life for Micki on April 25th, 2020, the location will be announced at a later date.

The family would like to give a Special Thanks to the IU North Hospital Surgical Care – 5C Staff and the Hospice Staff for the exceptional love and care they provided to Micki during the last two weeks of her time here on earth, she was surrounded by amazing women who went above and beyond for her and our family.
