Mildred Frances King

March 27, 1949 — March 4, 2025

Indianapolis

Mrs. Mildred Frances "Billie/Milly" King (Coburn), 75, drew her last breath on March 4, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Born on March 27, 1949, in Portland, Oregon, Milly, was the daughter of Wilson A. Coburn Sr. and Betty E. Wood. She grew up surrounded by a large and loving family, forming bonds that lasted throughout her life.

Milly was known for her sharp sense of humor, always ready with a witty remark to bring laughter to those around her. She had a deep love for romance novels, often losing herself in their pages and sharing her favorite stories with friends and family. Her journeys in life would take her from Oregon, to Europe, and back with many adventures in between.

She is survived by her children, Veronica Short, Rebecca Norman, and Joe Flores Jr.; seven grandchildren- Ana, Mylenda, Fierra, William, Cameron, Brenden, and Victor; and twelve great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sisters PD Smith and Wanda Hartwick; brothers Bud Coburn and Don Coburn; step-siblings Larry Wood, Lisa Wood, and Lenny Wood; as well as her aunts Barbara Krause, Bonnie Spillers, June DeMoss, uncle Gordon Coburn, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish her memory. Her absence is a void that can never be filled.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin A. King, her parents, and her sister Carol S. Mowdy.

Milly's warmth and humor will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.

A memorial service will be held with family and friends at a later date.
