Misty Dawn Smith

Misty Dawn Smith, 46, of Indianapolis, entered God’s kingdom on December 20, 2024. Born on April 21, 1978, to Wanda and Dennis Smith, Misty was a devoted wife, sister, aunt, and a loving fur baby mom.

Misty is survived by her parents, Wanda ("her Gremlin") and Dennis; her loving husband, Arturo ("Angel"); her cherished fur baby, Pogo; her brother, Denis (Junior); her niece, Araynna, and her nephews, Dennis and Braydan; her stepdaughters, McKenzie and Chloe; and her step-grandson, Malich. Misty is preceded in death by her sister, Tabitha Blair.

Misty was a dedicated Team Lead at Walmart, where she worked for 15 years. Her coworkers became more than just colleagues—they were family. Misty had a gift for making friends in any situation, and her infectious smile could light up any room. Known for her kindness and humor, she never hesitated to offer a helping hand, and her favorite phrase, “Eff it, I quit!” always brought laughter to those around her.

With her simple style of denim shorts and a T-shirt, Misty embodied authenticity and generosity. She devoted her life to giving to others, often placing their needs above her own. Misty enjoyed making jewelry, losing herself in a good book, and bringing joy to those she loved.

Misty’s kind and selfless spirit will forever live in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her.

A memorial service to celebrate Misty’s life will be held on January 3, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM EST at Legacy Funeral Home, 1604 W. Morris St., Indianapolis, IN 46221.
