Nancy Trusty

66, of Fishers,passed away on January 21, 2017. She was born on August 19, 1950 to the late Harvey and EsterVan De Mark. Nancy graduated from NorthHigh School in Wichita, KS in 1968. Shemarried the love of her life and her saving grace, Stephen Trusty, on November30, 1968, and then moved to Indiana to live with his family while he wasstationed in Thailand. Nancy was a member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority andof the Baptist Faith.

Nancy was a homemaker for many years, taking care of her 2daughters, until the youngest turned 8. She then went back to school and received her Expanded DutiesCertificate from the IU School of Dentistry. She worked for a few different dental offices before finding TaylorFamily Dentistry in Carmel, IN, at which she worked at for 15 years.

Caring, Peace-maker, and Giver are just a few words that areused to describe Nancy. She was thecenter of her family’s universe, by holding them all together and treating themequally, especially her grandchildren. Nancy was loved by everyone, her family,her co-workers, her patients, and her friends. She loved her husband of 48+ years, Stephen, and was known to be hisbest friend. Nancy was her sister,Linda’s, idol. She loved quilting, scrapbooking, and taking trips on themotorcycle with Stephen. But most ofall, she loved her family, especially hosting meals for all of them andwatching the grandchildren at their sporting events. Nancy lived to have no regrets in her life,and passed that philosophy onto her daughters.

She is survived by: her husband, Stephen Trusty; daughters,Michelle (Larry) Kolosso and Stephanie (Tony) Grant; grandchildren, JaylenGrant, Nikalaas “Nik” Kolosso, Jasmine Grant, and Haleigh Kolosso; siblings,Linda Boyd of Washington and John Kirby of Missouri; and 12 nieces andnephews.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents and brother,Harvey Dean Van De Mark II.

Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday, January 25,2017 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue. Funeral service will be at 11am on Thursday,January 26, 2017 at the funeral home, with visitation from 10am until the timeof service.
