Nerissa May Burton, 37, passed away at home on January23, 2017 after an extended illness. Shewas born on December 3, 1979 in Anderson to Terry Lee Jackson and Pamela JaneHewitt Ebbert.
Nerissa attended Anderson High School. She was a wife, mother, and homemaker. Shewas active at the First Pentecostal Church on 53rd Street. She enjoyed journaling and gardening,particularly directing Nate in how she wanted the flower beds to look.
Nerissa never knew a stranger. She was outgoing and enjoyed talking topeople.
Left to treasure Nerissa’s memory is her husband,Nathan Burton, Sr.; son, Nathan Burton, Jr.; stepdaughter, Kassi Olive; mother,Pamela Jane Hewitt (Joe) Ebbert; father, Terry Lee Jackson; siblings, RaymondJackson, Jaime Jackson, and Erica Jackson (Nathan) Tomlin; grandmother,Charlotte Burton; father-in-law, Brad Burton; many aunts, uncles, cousins,nieces and nephews; special friend, Jennifer Brandon; special cousin, JohnellHewitt; and her precious bulldog, May May.
Preceding Nerissa in death are grandparents, John andMarilyn Hewitt, Jim and Janie Jackson, and Floma Haas; brother-in-law, MatthewBurton; and mother-in-law, Robin Burton.
Services for Nerissa will be Thursday, February 2 at11:00 AM at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services. Bishop Daniel St. Clair will preside. Visitation with the family is one hourprior. Burial will immediately followthe service at Maplewood Cemetery.
