Nicholas Wayne Rowland, born on September 17, 1990, in Bradenton, Florida, passed away on August 28, 2024, in Muncie, Indiana, after a long-fought battle with addiction. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Nicholas was a dedicated and skilled construction worker who thrived in his career with the Indiana Laborers Union. A graduate of Muncie South Side High School, Class of 2009, Nicholas also attended Cowan High School, where he excelled as a star athlete, holding numerous records in track and field. His talent extended beyond the track; during his younger years, he trained in MMA and boxing with his father and showcased potential that could have led him to a professional career in sports.

Nicholas was the life of the party, a fun-loving individual known for his kind heart and willingness to help anyone in need. His extraordinary personality endeared him to many; he was truly loved by everyone who crossed his path. Above all, his family meant the world to him, and he cherished the bonds he created with those he held most dear.

An avid fisherman, Nicholas found joy in boating, camping, and spending time outdoors. He had a passion for sports, both watching and playing, and his cooking skills ensured that he could whip up a good meal whenever necessary.

Nick is survived by his loving parents Lorie Orebaugh (Andy) and Jason Rowland; the love of his life Abigail Kiser and bonus kids Aliyah and Stevie; sisters Hannah and Gracie Orebaugh; grandparents Mike and Sandra Brumback; grandparents Keith and Betty Orebaugh; grandma Jane Long; aunts and uncles Teena Long (Matt), Chad Long (Charlene), Mike Long (Nicole), Amanda Shockley (John), Erich Rowland, Scott Nelson, Mary Coffman (John), Molly Uliczny (Eric), and Ben Orebaugh; several cousins; and many close friends. 

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Scott and Sharon Rowland, grandpa Mike Long, aunt Robbie Rowland, and several close friends. 

A visitation will be held on Friday September 6, 2024, from 2-4pm with a funeral service beginning at 4pm at Oakville Brethren Church at 320 W. Oakville Road, Oakville, IN 47367.

Nicholas Wayne Rowland will be remembered for his vibrant spirit and love for life. He leaves behind memories that will continue to inspire and bring smiles through the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Nick battled with addiction, but it never diminished the love and joy he brought to those around him.
