Nyla K Dunning, 59, of Fortville, IN passed away on October 1, 2019. She was born May 13, 1960 in Monticello, IN to Gene and Roberta (Mendenhall) Staples.

She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Nyla is survived by her husband, James Dunning; daughters, Shauna Mendenhall (Jonathan), Ashley Earlywine (David), and son Joshua Neer; mother, Roberta Staples; siblings, David Mendenhall, Rita Osborn (Trellon), James Mendenhall (Tammy), Holly Couse (Jeffrey), and Carl Mathis; grandchildren, Autumn Pfleging, Brookelyn Pfleging, Chloe Pfleging, Paije Siegel, Dylan Willis, Sierra Willis, Kaden Monka, Emalie Earlywine, and Mariska Neer; great granddaughter Violet Garland; along with many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Gene Mendenhall.

You are gone too soon, Nyla K. Although we knew this time would come, we weren’t ready for it, and never will be. You will live on in each memory we share and each beautiful smile you graced us with.

Public visitation 12pm – 2pm on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services 5215 Shadeland Ave, Lawrence IN 46226. Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
