Owen "Stacy" Crabtree

Owen “Stacy” Crabtree, age 77, of Yorktown, passed away on April 14, 2021 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 27, 1943 to the late Garfield and Elsie Crabtree.

Stacy was an avid antique collector through and through. He and his wife traveled to every flea market near and far. He was a people person and loved to talk. He could sweet talk anyone he met. His neighbors called him the unofficial sheriff of Bethel Ave. He was extremely likeable and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was the best guy that he could be, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Stacy is survived by his spouse Joan Crabtree; children Stacy O. Crabtree and Carol L. Schafer; grandchildren Shaya, Janson, Amber, Jackalynn, and Keith; dog Bella; special friend and neighbor Linda Parker; mother- in – law Beverly Pierce; sister – in – law Beth (Keith) Carlson; brother – in – law Thomas Pierce; and a host of friends from the flea market.

He is preceded in death by his parents listed above.

Cremation services were handled through Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
