Pamela S. Rector, 68, passed away on September 22, 2024. She was born on February 6, 1956, to John and Vivian Castor in Beech Grove, IN. A dedicated professional, Pamela obtained her masters in radiology and stayed active with the ISRT through much of her career. She traveled the country organizing meetings as the secretary and mammographer delegate, a testament to her passion and dedication to advancing her expertise in the field.
Beyond her professional life, she was a woman of diverse interests and talents. Pamela enjoyed bowling, where she not only participated but also shared her skills as a bowling instructor. She was also an exceptional cook, known for her delicious meals that brought joy to family gatherings and gatherings of friends. In 1985, she married her beloved husband, Michael Rector. Their partnership was filled with laughter, playful moments, and a deep bond that defined their lives together. Pamela's zest for life was evident in all she did, and she created countless cherished memories with those fortunate enough to be part of her journey.
Pamela is survived by her supportive husband, Michael Rector; loving cousins, Stephanie, and Debbie Rae; and close friends, Valerie and Gary Kiko, and Sister Pam. She will be remembered not only for her professional contributions but also for her warmth, kindness, and the joy she brought into the lives of others.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian Castor; her father, John Castor; an infant brother; and her stepdaughter, Anita Jenkins. The legacy of Pamela Rector will endure in the hearts of all who knew her, as they reflect on the love and memories she so generously shared.
Services to honor the life and legacy of Pamela Rector will be held by Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services at Bethel Lutheran Church - 20650 Cumberland Rd, Noblesville, IN on Wednesday, October 2nd. Visitation will be held from 12-1PM with services beginning at 1PM. Burial to follow at Washington Park North Cemetery.
