Patricia Ann Humphrey, “Tricia”, “Pat-Pat”, or “Bibbie” as she was known to family and close friends was the fourth daughter born to the union of Geraldine and Isaac Humphrey, II.
She attended IPS School #26 and Shortridge High School. Pat earned her general education diploma in 1979 and graduated from Cosmetology school in 1980.
Patricia confessed a faith in Jesus Christ in 1980. She regularly read her Bible and often spoke about her love for Christ and God’s word with her family and friends.
Patricia was warm, kind, and full of life. She had an infectious laugh and was always well styled. She was a gifted artist and hair stylist known for creating fierce finger waves. Patricia loved to sing and dance and had great self-confidence in all she did. Although she did not have children of her own, she had a deep love for children and helped to raise her nephew Cory, great nephews, Coreyon and Cortez. She loved animals-often bringing home stray dogs and cats and spent her last days with her fur baby cat, Shadow Humphrey.
She was a registered organ donor with the Indiana Donor Network and the recipients of her generosity will allow two individuals to obtain the Gift of Sight. Patricia was proceeded in death by her parents, nephew Alfred Lamont, and partner Stanley Jefferson. She will be deeply missed by her sisters, Sharon (Carl) Wade, Betty (Charles) Hardister, Gloria “Deany” Humphrey, and Issha Humphrey, nieces, Toni Gray, LaToya (Kenn) Bush, Kaliah (Chris) Ligon, nephew, Cory (LaToya) Humphrey, great-niece Tacoria Humphrey, Anuya Humphrey, great-nephews, Cory Humphrey, Jr., Cortez Humphrey, Coreyon Humphrey, Chuckie, Samson, Lucky, friend Sean Coleman her four-legged fur baby Shadow Humphrey.
