Patricia K. Maddox, 66 was born in Tulsa Oklahoma to Walter R. Goodwin and Marilyn Goodwin
on August 8, 1954. She passed away on June 6, 2021. She married Phillip Michael Maddox in
1994. They resided in Anderson, Indiana up until her transition to her eternal home. Patricia
loved to cook, sing, and she loved animals. She worked at Vermillion House as a QMA for several
years, where she provided love and care to many patients. Her love for cooking turned into a
business venture with her sister Mary and their mother Marilyn “Millie’s Restaurant” which was
named after their mother. She was an avid hunter, fisherman, and camper. If it had four legs
and in the wild she would catch it.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Rebecca DeWitt.
Patricia leaves behind to carry her love and cherish her memories husband Phillip M. Maddox, son Shad Goodwin, daughters
Katina (Arthur) Buck-LaGrange, and Heather Fricke. Sisters: Mary (Dan) Cameron, Cindy (Albert)
Allen; brother: Walter “Rick” Goodwin; brother-in-law: Lloyd Brumback. Granddaughter: Clarinda
“Addie” Wade. Great-Grand Daughter Raven. Close friend for over twenty years Linda Reed; and
several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Celebration of life services will be held on Monday June 14, 2021 at Legacy Cremation and
Funeral Home in Anderson, IN. Visitation 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, with services beginning promptly
at 1:00 pm. Following the services the procession will be led to Maple Wood Cemetery for the
burial.
